Error 9672-It doesn't just work?

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a HP deskjet D2360 to print using Airport Express and G4 iBook.
The printer is seen, but can't be added, getting "error:-9672".
No further details are given in error message.
Had a search internet and forums and not found a solution.
Has anybody here found way to get this to work.
Printer is working fine from USB direct connection.
But a connected wired set-up won't work for me in the apartment.

Should I bring back the Printer to the shop if I can find the receipt, or does anybody know how to make this work?

This is a generic printing error that has numerous causes. Conflicts between versions of HP software being one of them.

I suggest you delete the /Library/Printers/hp folder and reinstall the latest driver. Repair permissions and restart the Mac before trying to Add in Printer Setup.

Otherwise, I think you should take it back.

I'm with you mate. I have the exact same problems with the exact same HP printer. I tried it all and worked myself trough every posible sollution. Then I almost had a Windows-why-does-this-not-work-rage-black-before-the-eye's thing going, then I quit and gave up, stuffed the horrable machine back in it's box and gonna try to get my money back. I mean, who wants to have an ugly looking machine like a printer next to his iMac, right ? That's why I bought the Airport Express in the first place, to get rid of cables and ugly looking machines from my desk...

Gonna get me an Canon from the Apple store now. If the Apple store sells it, it must work right, right ?
