Hello,

I am having issues with moving files around on a shared network drives, when you attempt to a prompt box appears saying 'Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this' which I don't think should be happening anyway as the current user is an admin, however after putting in their password or another admin accounts username and password the box disappears without any error but nothing happens at all?

This happening on all of the Macs attempting to do this.

I used to have issues with my Network Drive. I can tell you what fixed my problem. I'm not sure why it worked, or whether it will work for you, but here it is:

Open Airport Utility and go to the Disks tab.
Make sure "Enable file sharing" is selected
Change "Secure Shared Disks" to "With device password"

the next time you try to access the disk, it will prompt you for a password. use the same password that you use for your Base Station. you can save the password to your keychain, so it will store it for future use. for some reason, i could never get it to work properly when securing shared disk with accounts.

hope this helps.
