At the moment I edit using FCPX on a MacBook Pro.
My project libraries are stored on my external drive - a ThunderBlade V4 connected via TB3.

I have a NAS on the network, connected to a 10GBe switch.
The MacBook connects via a TB3 to 10GBe Sonnet Adapter.

Everything above works fine. I achieve high speed transfers between my MacBook and NAS - perfect.

However, for some reason I am unable to backup my FCPX libraries to the NAS. Every time I do this I get a Code 50 error, which doesn't seem to explain very much!
I can copy large video files, or any other file fine - just seems to dislike FCPX libraries, which can get up to 100GB in size....

So the data flow is:

ThunderBlade V4 ----> MacBook Pro ----> Sonnet 10GBe Adapter ----> QNAP 10GBe Switch ----> QNAP NAS

I have tried copying the library from my MacBook to rule out an issue with the external drive and get the same.

I have tried copying via a standard 1GBe hub to rule out an issue with the Sonnet 10GBe adapter, and still get the same.

I've tried copying smaller libraries as well as larger libraries - still get he same.

I've tried copying to the root folder of the NAS, thinking it could be the folder structure, but nope, still the same.

I can, however, copy in reverse, so from the NAS I can copy to the ThunderBlade V4 perfectly fine. So it just seems to be from the drive to the NAS - the route highlighted above.

Tried everything I can think of and am now thinking its something to do with the FCPX libraries themselves (which work fine in FCPX by the way)? Any ideas???
