Error Codes 0 and -36 with FAT hard drive. Not a file size issue

Hi all, ive already searched these error codes, but i seem to have a unique problem. I formatted a partition of my ext hard drive to FAT so i could plug it into my xbox and play videos and music off it. I have managed to get all of my video files on, but for some reason i cant copy my itunes library onto it. I keep getting 0 and -36 error codes even when trying to copy one artist at a time. whats going on?
