Error in iTunes hindering downloads!

Hey guys,
I have purchased a couple of seasons through iTunes and for some reason after downloading a couple it gives a error that says "can't check for downloads (-4)" or something along those lines. Anybody know what this means? Its quite annoying because its going to take forever to download these seasons. Also, it does it when its three downloading at one time or just one. Any idea's? I have restarted and checked everything I know.

Try rebooting and trying again. That helped me a while back. Also, the other trick is to select download 1 at a time, instead of many. Not sure why these helped, but in my case it worked.

I will try that. Although, I have rebooted and shut down iTunes many times. I am just wondering what this error means?
