I have 3 printers on my (10 day old) iMac. One Mitsubishi die-sub & 2 epsons. I have a problem with the Epson Pro 4880. The other printer is a R200 & that seems to work ok.

I went to the Epson site and downloaded the new drivers for both my Epsons.

Whether I am printing a 17x60 inches, on roll paper or a word doc, onto A4……Every time I try to print with my 4880, I get this error:…
Error:/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpll.app/Contents/MacOS/rastertoescpll failed.

I've tried reinstalling the new drivers and also tried unplugging printer, rebooting computer, then plugging printer back in....all to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem?

In desperation, I have now uninstalled the R200, as its more important that the 4880 works. Its connected via USB & set up in the settings panel as the default printer & not shared on a network. The printer will perform a head clean & print a test page. I really cannot think of anything else to try. I would appreciate any advice you could provide, as I am going round & round in circles!

Thank you.
