Error Message -HELP

ok. i just downloaded a powerpoint presentation from my hotmail account for school. it ran fine, but when i tried to send the files to the trash it wouldnt let me. the error reads " the item is being sed by another task right now. other tasks include moving, copying or emptying the trash. but the thing is, i can delete other files just fine. just not the 2 i downloaded. i tried restarting my computer and then deleting it, but that doesnt work either. any help would be very much appreciated. thanks!!
