Anybody else seeing this error?
iTunes Store could not process your request right now ...

So I get the upgrade screen each time I plug in my iPod touch.

How can I get rid of it? or are Apple skewing their unpopular upgrade numbers?

If you upgraded to 1.1.3 and did not buy the apps you get this all the time. Remind me latter brings up an error. Real nice of Apple.

I would start annoying their iTunes section with emails about it.

Why don't you try going to Preferences, and see if you could unselect the upgrade reminder to start off with... Don't know much about it but I guess I haven't studied the Itunes and Itouch enough...

in iTunes preferences uncheck "check for updates automatically"

Thats not it duve. When you plug into iTunes with the update installed, 1.1.3 and do not buy the 5 apps, it keeps asking you to buy them. You can dismiss it, but it gives you an error. You then go to iTunes and do as you please.

I would think that some people find this very annoying.

I have this problem too. AppleCare people were not helpful at all over the phone. My only solution has been to downgrade to 1.1.2.

do you sync your ipod so much that you had to downgrade it o_O?
i only see this as a mere annoyance with the exception of podcast subscribers... in which it would be total hell.

I'm subscribed to half a dozen vodcasts that update daily... 1.1.3 doesn't do much for me anyway.
