error message with optical drive... [SOLVED]

haven't burned a cd/dvd in a long time. when i try, i get this message (and the blank media is ejected):

"The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission."

i repaired permissions, checked settings for the desktop in get info... any suggestions? thanx!

and found a fix on the apple forums:

defaults write com.apple.finder ProhibitBurn false

then

killall Finder


worked!
