I post this because I found this issue and couldn't find any help on the net and finally I was able to solve it myself.

I had my Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars installed and working properly on my 20" iMac 2,4 GH, Leopard 10.5.5.

The problem was that after installing several software, this game stopped to work. I got the error at launching: "The application XXXXX quit unexpectedly".

I installed HEAR, SENUTY, FileMaker 9 and more.

The game tried to launch but in the end it always crashed.

I uninstalled all the software (appzapper) I had installed assuming that this would end the problem, but that didn't work.

I installed spore and after, Enemy territory Quake wars, and both crashed the same way.

But the real strange thing came when I created a new account and all the three games worked perfectly.

The solution to this figured out to be that the program HEAR made the games crash.

Going into System preferences > Accounts > Startup
and deleting the hear loading at startup, all games became healthy again.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone, but I post it.
