error playing mp4 HELP needed

Hello,

i used handbrake to copy a dvd for later viewing, but when playing back i get the error message in vlc:

"mp4: MP4 plugin discarded (no moov box)
access_file: seeking too far
ffmpeg: av_open_input_stream failed"


is there any way to correct this without the dvd?

try it on a windows machine, if it doesnt work then it doesnt work.
