Error sharing screen in Mountain Lion iMessage

I have been trying to share my screen via AIM in iMessage in Mountain Lion, and whenver I do, I connect for less than a second and then get the following error: "Error 1005: (No data received for the last 10 seconds)" Is this a network setting? Or is there something else going on?
