I have only had my imac 24 hours, i have loaded ntfs-3g and macfuse so I can read my external drive which is formatted to ntfs. All my photo's are on it and my pc backups. I still want to be able to read and write on pc as well as mac so don't want to format the disk to mac, I have tried mounting the drive on the imac but getting the following error.

ntfs-3g could not mount/dev/disk2s1 at /Volumnes/Elements because the following problem occurred.

/Library/filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.ktext failed to load - (libkern;ktext) link error, check the system/kernal logs for errors or try kextutil(8) the Macfuse file system is not available(71)

Have you tried removing Macfuse and the reinstalling? Sounds like something may have corrupted.

since i unplugged the drive i can't find the programs to remove them.

Update I did what you said and re-installed it seems to be working now but had to download a 15 day trial version.
