Error When Burning Disc on MBP

Hey guys, I had to buy a new pack of DVD discs so I thought I should just get something that looks like the same since the pack I have been using was bought over 2 years ago lol. I bought some verbatim dvd-r discs but I get this error code: 0x8002006E . Is there a way to fix this error or track down the type of disc I have someway? What kind of discs do you guys suggest to use that you have great succesfull rates with.

I am using an older macbook pro with 10.5.3 that was released about maybe 1-2 years ago.

im burning through a burn folder from the mac itself, no other programs since its worked with my other dvd's but I just dont know what brand they are but it burns at x4 so I also tried it with these dvd's and it gives me the same error. with this verbatim brand yes its constant
