I get the above error when I try to copy my music folder (not the iTunes folder) to another hard drive. Both drives are formated Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Its about 130gb of data, any suggestions?

Rename the folder as Master_Music_Collection and try again?

So your point is that the error message is misleading and there's nothing on the target drive with that name?

So if you rename the folder as RavingBeagleYowls and try again, you get the same error?

Yes the target hard drive is pretty much empty. No matter what I rename it to I get the same error.

OK. That seems weird. So the target drive is connected (firewire? USB? internal?) and the volume you want to copy onto is mounted? And you drag the folder's icon onto the icon for the target volume and that error message comes up?

Hope someone else has an idea, cause I don't think I do.
