I tried to follow the guide for moving the applications I tried the very first commend

Code:
 mv /Applications /private/var/Applications

and got
Code:
mv: /bin/: Permission denied
mv: /bin/: terminated with 1 (non-zero) status: Cross-device link

anyone know why I am getting this?

I chose to install SSH before when I jailbroke though  The icon is on the sprinboard. I'll try and install it again and see.

Thanks for the very quick response :D

Woohoo! Worked a treat.

I messed it up before by accident (can't believe I made a classic n00b mistake), but it wouldn't have worked anyway as I didn't install OpenSSH from the installer. Now I just have to add all of my apps and music again...sigh.

Thanks again for you're amazing response times, lol.

Im about to do this, so I will have to install OpenSSH before i do so? I would like to avoid have to restore and re-jailbreak bc I have a lot of apps on there already.

When you jailbreak with jailbreak.jar, do not check install SSH.

Instead, install it later through installer.
The jailbreak SSH works fine, you just need to wait a bit while it generates the keys. And it comes with a handy switch.

Didn't work with me though. I just installed OpenSSH from Installer.App, with the SSH from the jailbreak already installed. It seemed to go over the SSH from the jailbreak, and didn't give me a keys error when I connected to it via Putty like the Jailbreak SSH did.

(Whoa that was a lot of SSH!)

After you install SSH through installer, how long does it take for the icon to show up?
