Hi...I know there are a bunch of these threads and I've read but I can't figure out why I keep getting this error.
Now that I have my iPhone 4, I want to JB & unlock my 3GS for overseas use.
I got a refurb a month ago (old bootrom) and now that the new Pwnage 4.01 is out, I ran f0recast to make sure I could jailbreak. Per f0recast, I can jailbreak (don't upgrade). It's already on 4.0 so I thought I was fine.
I created a new custom .ipsw w/ 4.0 for 3GS, I definitely unchecked hacktivate since i have my old AT&T sim (no longer working since I activated the new iPhone though obv). I did not JB previously w/ Spirit. I got error 1604.
*oh...maybe I should hacktivate w/ my UK sim* Hacktviated .ipsw created...getting error 1600.
