eSata cable

I was wondering if it mattered what kind/ brand of eSata cable is used for an external HD? I know some cables like HDMI & DVI it doesn't matter but for component it does.

So you'd buy that $6,000 Pear audio cable instead of just using the wire coat hanger that sounds exactly the same.

eSATA is eSATA is eSATA. Don't worry.
