For my 2010 Mac Pro I'm about to order (from OWC) a NewerTech MAXPower eSATA 6G PCIe 2.0 Controller Card to connect to a OWC Mercury Elite Pro Quad eSATA/FW800/FW400/USB 2.0 Enclosure. It just dawned on me I also need a cable to connect the two!
So is this cable I found on Monoprice the one I want? It is certainly much cheaper than the cable OWC sells?
And as a separate question about eSATA cards I just noticed that the more expensive NewerTech MAXPower 6G PCIe eSATA RAID Controller card comes with drivers. The card I mentioned above explicitly says no drivers for the Mac but this other card doesn't say one way or another. I originally thought both these cards didn't need drivers and asked in another post whether both will work on a Mac Pro and the answer was "yes". But I prefer to not add drivers. So are those drivers for the raid card windows only (and I'm assuming I can use this card in a non-raid configuration, i.e., just connected to the enclosure, but the second card would open the possibility for other future configurations)?

Update:
I just noticed on the OWC web site that the enclosure comes will all the cables it interfaces support. But for future reference I would still like to know if that monoprice cable is the proper cable.
Also, after talking to OWC I discovered that the NewerTech MAXPower 6G PCIe eSATA RAID Controller card does not need drivers for the Mac.
