I am going to add an esata card to my Mac Pro 3,1

Does the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual RAID require an esata that supports bridging?

Thanx!

OWC could answer that and that way they are accountable when you buy it if it does not work. If you go to the 'Spec' tab on the page link you gave you will see recommended eSata cards that work with the Mercury Elite.

P.S. I have had one for about two years now and it has been on 24/7 on a Lacie T-Bolt eSata hub and it is still pushing hard.

LOL

The link no longer goes to the esata|FW|USB model.

Looks like they dropped the esata.

I already have 2 of the esata enclosures.

Funny thing is I found a 4 port sata sybausa 40062 in my old file server.
Totally forgot it was in there
