Hey, folks.

I have a mid-2012 5,1 Mac Pro. I use it for FCPx and digital audio, so I don't want to globally put all drives into any kind of sleep or power-saving mode. However, I WOULD like to have just my external "spinning" backup drives sleep, if possible.

I just ordered two Sonnet Tempo Pro Plus PCIe cards, so as to have internal 6G SSD throughput, but now I will also finally have eSATA for my backup drives. (I had been using USB 2.0)

Is there a way to enable "sleep" or some other energy saver on JUST those external drives? I can't figure it out.

THX.
