eSATA III drives and MacBook Pro...interface?

I run Black Caviars..eSATA III and am wondering how to connect to my 2.66 i7 laptop...Firewire 800, & USB connections. I'm assuming Firewire 800 since no thunderbolt. Just get a JBOD box or a dock that accepts eSATA III and has firewire 800 out? Thank you for any advice.
