I have a MacBookPro4,1.

Now, I'm no hard-ware guru, so please help.

I need an highspeed external harddisk. Such as an SSD disk.

Now, has I understand, I would need to connect the external SSD harddisk through an eSata port, in order to get the benefits of the high data transfare rates

Now is eSata supported on my MBP4,1?

You are posting in the wrong Forum!

But yes, you can get eSATA Express cards for the MBP4,1. Do not expect boot support though.

thanks.

so to clairify: Can you get a SATA II Controller for the MBP4,1?

@gugucom
