i have a MBP and my ext. HDD(raid0) supports both FW800 and eSATA
i use the HDD as scratch disk and rendering output.
the figures show that eSATA is faster than FW800
But, when I tried to copy a 2Gb file to the HDD, I found that FW800 is slightly faster than eSATA through ExpressCard.
So, what should I use?
Thanks.

run a disk benchmark...

eSATA should be faster, although your expresscard adapter might not be very good.

Thanks for your reply
any suggestion on disk speed benchmark? i did some google but couldnt find one
