iPhone 13 Pro eSim activation question

I purchased the iPhone 13 Pro with an eSim card from Apple and the carrier is Verizon. Does anybody have knowledge how to activate this once I receive it. I now have an iPhone 12 with a SIM card, but will not be using this. Do I just turn off the old phone completely and turn on the new phone and it will activate automatically or are there other steps?

If you ordered the phone connected to Verizon via eSIM, it should be ready to use once you turn it on.

Thanks, I was wondering this also.
So..when my 13 arrives - "pre activated," this 12 Pro actual Sim card will be shut down, inactive.

Will Apple just sort out the phone numbers when you pickup. I ordered mine through the Apple App, and it asked me for the primary CTN and stuff, but never asked for the number upgrading. Then it kept giving errors for my wife's, so I went to apple.com. On there it asked for the number upgrading sometime after the part where it asked for the primary CTN and other account stuff. So I'm hoping mine on the site will use my number, and hers will use hers?

That is my understanding of the new process. I ordered my phone from Apple with T-Mobile eSIM and picking it up Friday.
