How can I tell if my iPhone is using an eSIM or SIM chip for its cellular account? I could take the cover off and check the tray, but the cover is VERY hard to get off and on, and I prefer not to do that. Thanks!

Settings > General > About and you will see ESIM or Physical SIM

For eSIM, you should see a toggle to turn off in Settings > Cellular too

Thanks @Banglazed , in Settings/Cellular I do see a toggle "Turn on this line". Is that it?

But in About, where does it say SIM or eSIM? I don't think I see either.

Then it should be eSIM. In About, you’ll need to scroll down to see it, it will show carrier info.

Oh duh I was staring right at it and missed it- says ESIM where yours says PHYSICAL SIM. Thanks @Banglazed !!!
