iPhone XR eSim Question

So I'm looking at setting up an eSim on my XR. For those that already have this set up, is it possible to have separate ring tones for each line? I've been trying to google it and can't find anything.

I haven’t managed to do that. I ended up going through the contacts who use one number and set their ringtone to something different to the default. If anybody had a better solution, I would love to hear I.

The ringtones will be saved for contacts, just like they are now with any phone backup. The settings for ringtones are not saved carrier side nor are they saved in the eSIM.

There is no specific option under cellular settings, to set a default ringtone for the second phone line, like you would see if you were looking under settings with a singular phone.

This feels like a basic feature when having two lines. I want to setup a private line and work line in my fathers XS max. He doesn’t always carry the phone in his hands, and it would help him tremendously if he could hear a ringtone and know which line when he’s picking it up from his AirPods.
