espn.com and Safari

Has anyone had any problems loading espn.com in Safari over the past few days.

The site just seems to take forever to load up, if it does at all. I tried in firefox and it works fine.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I haven't been there in recent days, but I just checked right now and it loaded up fine. It only took a few seconds.

I emptied Safari's cache and that seemed to do the trick.

Resolving the problem that is espn.com, though -- I remember when I used to load that bad boy in Lynx.

Now I won't touch the site -- too media heavy, too slow on load times, too advertisey.

Exactly. I just went to Fox Sports, and as much as I hate Fox, their sports site is much better than ESPN.
