Has there been any word of a fantasy football app for iPad? The iPhone app for last year was pretty good, not great.

I really hope they blow us away this year with a super sweet universal iPhone/iPad app.

Anyone know where to email or tweet them to ask?

I really want to be able to draft from iPad.

Well, the espn and yahoo fantasy football iphone apps are out now. Neither one have native iPad support. I really thought they'd make these apps universal this year. :(

Good News

Good news on the ESPN front - a iPAD app is out in 7-10 days according to a reply I got from them asking about it.

Cool... Wonder if it will be a separate app or an update to this one. I'd rather not have to buy 2.

Hope yahoo follows suit.

Knowing them it will probably be $9.99 and have ads. For the second season in a row they have dropped the ball.

No iPad draft app? Why?

I didn't download the iPhone app and I probably won't. I need to find the right email addy and give them a piece of my mind.

They just don't seem to understand iPhone apps.

Charge for the app or have ads, no double dipping.

$4.99 is a premium price in today's iPhone app world, for that price they should be giving us an awesome app with all the features of the full site and then some.

And it is beyond me why on earth they think they can get away charging us forvit every year.

Voting with my dollar here. Going to try huddle hub instead.

That's the same response I received from them as well. They just added iOS3.1 support for the iphone/ipod app, I'm hoping thats not what they meant, because its still lacking. It doesn't look mush different than last years, (which I bought), and there isn't really any alternative for the ipad right now because ESPN's Live Scoring on the website is a flash app.

OK, being as the first game of the season is tonight, I decided to check and see if their live scoring "Fantasy Cast" was up yet....

My recollections was that it was Flash, and wouldnt work on iOS, but it looks work....and fairly well too! So anyone just wanting to keep track of their scores realtime can probably just use this, and roster changes can just be done via Safari and the ESPN Fantasy Football website.

I saw the $4.99 iPad app in the app store the other day. I just joined the fantasy football league this year. Was hoping this app would be free.

You mean the iPhone/iPod app for $4.99 right? They charged last year, so I figured there would be a charge this year. That's not what I was hoping they'd have for the iPad though.

Ah yes, there is no iPad version. I was getting hopeful.

How is the phone version? I think ESPN's apps are missing something, and I can't quite put my finger on it.

I dunno, I had last year's, it was ok, nothing spectacular. I have this years ESPN Fantasy Football app for my Android EVO 4G, and it works great. Roster changes, quick swipe to switch between my 2 leagues, waiver pick ups, league news, etc.

Btw guys, if you want to see it done right, CBS just put an ipad football app out. It looks stellar, and.......it's FREE!!
