So for approximately the past 2 days, ESPN videos no longer work on my 2011 MBP 13". When I try to play any clip, the "play" symbol shows up, but when I press it, there's nothing but a black screen in the video box with the little gray time bar along the bottom.

I tried playing these videos on both Firefox and Safari to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player, again with no results.

I know it's not the website because the desktop we have at home (PC) plays the videos just fine.

Can someone lead me to the right direction? I'm new to Mac, so please bear with me.

Still not working after going through the flash player global storage and security settings again. Everything is the way it should be as per the Adobe flash player help page. I restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled again, restarted computer again, and it's still a no go.

I've checked other websites like Hulu, break, CNN and their videos don't play on my Mac either. Youtube works just fine.

I'm completely baffled by this. Can anyone please help?

I think I had a similar problem a little while ago, it was after adjusting my Adobe Flash Player settings. I just look at it and can't really remember but I did though.

Are you trying to play the video in the same house as your PC over the same internet connection?

Yes. No problems there. It seems the problem lies strictly with my Mac and the Flash installed on it, despite it showing as working fine.

From what I remember it had something to do with the Storage settings. I think I chose never allow, but it didn't work. So I think I chose always ask but out it so sites could store 0k on my computer. I can't remember right now but I'll look more into it when I am home.

Some videos from websites would not play if in the Flash player settings I didn't have checked "Allow third-party Flash content to store data on your computer." So I checked it and now videos work, but you can not allow them to store by moving the slider to 0k.

Any success?

I know this thread is several months old, but I'm having the same problem.

oper8n, did you ever discover out a solution to this?
