Now that we're all waiting, like Christmas kids, for our new iPhones to appear, what are your recommendations of the essential apps to install on day1? I've been away from iOS (on WindozePhone) for several months and I'm not sure of the omfg apps out there.

Do you know how many different answers you will get? Apps on one's phone depend on their interest. What I find essential may not be essential to someone else. Just search for the apps you used on your Windows phone and see if they are available for iOS (chances are high).
Definitely need Safari and Settings App.
Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with this thread. There are countless forums, threads, and posts covering personal lists of apps. Having the 6 doesn't make any app more or less useful, it's still iOS... why not just read what's already posted?
