I want to etch my MBP and my warranty ends in august and im going to do it when my warranty ends. But on their website it says it wont void your warranty .

Click the Warranty Information link on the left.
Something about etching is the same as sticking a sticker on your mbp.

If its true, ill get it etched now but if not ill wait it out.

I just called my local apple store and asked my question and they said it will NOT void my warranty. They said its the same to them as putting a sticker on it.
So I'm going to have my mbp etched!

I would definitely make sure that you correspond with someone somewhat high on the food chain, e.g., manager, because 'geniuses' don't always have the correct answers...anyways, post pics when you do it!

Yeah i first was on the line with a genius and i asked to talk to the head cheese. So i got the manager and told him about what i wanted to do and he said yep that will not void it, then he asked me about where and he even said he might get his own mbp etched. He was very nice and polite.

Well i will post pics when i get it done, drawing up some ideas to be etched. But look for a new thread about it in a week or two!
