Does anyone know if an ethernet adapter is available for the ipod touch? I'm going to be traveling at the end of the month and need to connect to the hotels ethernet network. Couldn't find anything through google.

Just go to a starbucks each morning and pay for the wifi?

I was in a Holiday Inn Express a couple weekends ago and the free wifi there worked fine with my iPod touch.

so, expensive coffee and expensive wifi or pick your hotel wisely.

Yeah, I just know there's an ethernet connection in the room for sure and I don't know about wifi. Surely someone will come out with an ethernet adapter eventually if it's possible.

Do you have a MacBook? because if you do, you can hook the ethernet to the macbook then share it. Just my 02cents

I dont mean to hijack so please still any answers for the OP post them but how do you share internet between the Macbook and touch?

I've never heard of the dock connector being used for WAN connectivity. If Apple doesn't make it I doubt anyone else has the ability to make it happen.

Nope I've just got the Mac Pro at home, was hoping to get away with the iPod Touch for travel. Actually I was really hoping for the mac tablet at today's keynote.

Use Internet Sharing via Sharing in System Preferences.

To the OP, your best bet is an Airport Express. Portable and will easily convert an ethernet connection to wireless.
