Since installing Lion, I have found that my MB takes far longer to recognise my iMac (and visa versa) on my (tiny) home network. The two computers are connected together via an ethernet cable which runs through my router to the iMac. I can see the iMac in my "Shared" list, but if I try and connect to the iMac from the MB, it takes ages to make the connection. This was instantaneous in Snow Leopard. The only quick way I've found of forcing the connection is to hit "Connect" and then choose Connect as "Registered User" but this seems a very long way round something that was immediate in SL. I have checked that the Ethernet connection is at the top of the list in my Network Settings.
Is there a setting that I need to tweak to overcome this slight annoyance?
Thank you for your help.
Chris
