Hi,
I'm new here, so I don't know my way around here. Maybe this is the wrong forum (let me know) for this issue:

I recently bought a new 320 gig ethernet HD (Iomega,Home networkdrive) to have a central place in our homenetwork for pictures, music and other files.

I'm now in the proces of copying files, and I run into problems, mainly caused by the formatting, which is fat32.
In trying to reformat, the tool warns me that any change will disable the networkfunctionality of the drive.
I work with os 10.4.10 on a g4 1800MHz.

Is it somehow possible to get a different way of formatting this drive without losing its functionality and adding more possibility under osx?

thanks
