My Ethernet connection to my modem stopped working and was wanting some advice as to the cause.
I can still access the modem using my other Mac (MacBook) as well as through bootcamp on the offending machine (iMac). Therefore it can't be a hardware problem with the modem or computer.
In the network prefs pane, it states that the ethernet connection "self assigned ip". I've run the usual verify disk, zap pram etc, which was no help.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
