Hi,

I am attempting to upgrade my home wifi to ensure faster more stable speeds throughout the entire home. My home is a 4 story townhouse in the city. I have the newest Apple Extreme basestation on my main floor and the newest Apple Airport Express just plugged into the wall as an extender on the floor above. I have Comcast Blast internet. At times my connection is great - over 100mbps over wifi. But near the Airport Express it’s often unusable.

I’ve played with the placement of both the routers and channels. It was recommended to me that I look into “ethernet over power” adapters to plug into Airport Express. To be honest I never even knew these existed.

I’m confused as to what type of units I should buy. They seem to sold as pairs. Does one plug directly into the Airport Extreme connected to ethernet and the other into the Airport Express? Can i buy a third unit if I add another Airport Express?

Any insights into how I should set my system up and thoughts on which unit/brand I should get would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
