Ethernet over USB w/o adapter

I'm trying to find a way to setup ethernet over usb on my macbook pro with out an adapter. This is possible in linux with the USB-ETH module. I think I'm looking for a USB ECM Driver for Mac OS X. Is anyone aware of anything that's available? Or is it built in already since the Apple USB Ethernet dongle is supported?
