Ok boys, i have an older g3 i decided to upgrade to tiger. everything went great install wise. but now my Ethernet port wont work. i know its connected the router tells me it is, and it works on my power book right next to me. anyone have any idea. thanks guys.

Might want to check in System Profiler -> Network and see if the Ethernet port reports itself.

System Preferences -> Network would show the Built-In Ethernet and its settings as well.

System Profiler -> Network show built in ethernet
System Preferences -> Network shows settings. i just updated to 10.4.11 but ive went backwards. before if i would display network status it would show me built in Ethernet but tell me it wasnt connected, but now its just not there. and i know its connected.
also, if i run a network diagnostics the built in Ethernet says failed along with everything else. everything worked perfect before the upgrade.

never mind guys, i got it. i had to zap the PRAM and i reset the system management and every things good.
