EU. Default navigation app

I’m in the EU (well, the UK) and 18.4 doesn’t offer the option for the default navigation app.

I thought it was supposed to?

Because you’re not in the EU, you are in the UK.

I thought as far as Apple software was concerned we were treated the same. Obviously not. Oh well.

Have you updated GMaps or whatever you use (it seems Waze is not supported for this new feature at the minute)?
I had to today and then it was available as an option in "default apps".
Big liability: whatever you choose Siri continue to open the proprietary app...

I'm in EU, Italy, but I had to update GMaps anyway as with previous version the "default app" settings for navigation showed no option.

We got Apple intelligence before the EU and didn’t get the 3rd party App Store etc.
