I enabled the EU Volume Limit setting for the first time recently, and within minutes had noticed an annoying behaviour when using the "All 4" app (British TV channel Channel 4's catch-up app) to stream catch-up TV. Every time the streamed show broke for adverts, every time a new ad started, and every time the ads ended the volume would automatically set itself to maximum!
Can someone confirm this behaviour?
I also noticed that, contrary to what I was expecting after reading online, the EU Volume Limit doesn't simply prevent the volume from going into the "yellow". It actually resets the whole volume bar so that the top of the bar is the maximum volume. To go Spinal Tap: it doesn't make the knob stop at 7, it makes 10 quieter. Is this the expected behaviour? Personally I prefer it, because it means I have more steps between quiet and loud. Unfortunately the behaviour in the first paragraph above makes it unusable for the time-being.
