Watching the WWDC keynote got me excited on getting the new iPhone. I had allready decided to by the next model and had been waiting for it for a couple of months. The announced 100$ price drop was a nice bonus that would bring the device to a more affordable price level. When the European (in my case namely Belgian) prices were published, it was quite a let down to find out that the 100$ price drop had turned into 50 euros (≈70$) higher prices for the unsubsidied phones than before 
This again shows that Apple's preference to monopolies isn't in the interest of consumers.
