I ordered a Pro Max and a Pro, for my wife and I on the 17th at 13:10, for some reason I was not to have it the following week, and I too had an expected delivery date of 4th October - 11th October. Last weekend the Pro was available in John Lewis so I cancelled my Apple order and placed an order with John Lewis on Saturday and collected the phone from the store on Sunday. My wife's Pro Max remained on the above delivery dates, this morning I saw John Lewis had a Pro Max available so I ordered one for her, I am waiting for confirmation from John Lewis that it is on its way to the store and then going to cancel my Apple order.
I've not had any movement on the Apple online order, mine is still stuck on processing, and no charge to the card, hopefully will cancel this order tonight. I think Apple have been terrible with their ordering system. Good luck to you and I hope you get your phone soon!
