Evaluation - Is this worth it?

I need your help in evaluating if this sounds like a good deal or not.

A Macbook pro 13" retina mid 2014.
Perfect condition casing.
i5 2.6 ghz
8gb ram.
256gb ssd

For 1200$ cad (or 955 usd)

edit- Its used and has been bought in december of 2014!

The refurb store has that model with a 128gb drive for $979 so it's an ok deal but no bargain. It still has Applecare and it can be extended so that's in your favor.

$900-1000 is the going rate for them on ebay so the price offered to you is not great. You are paying market price.
