Is it safe to jailbreak an old iPhone 4 whose power button does not work? Im asking because at some stages the power button is necessary in the jailbreak, if I remember correctly. Just want to use it as an airplay receiver, where the power button isn't needed
Thanks

The power button is required if the jailbreak hangs. I would do a full backup and restore to 7.0.4 before running the jailbreak to make sure it doesn't hang.

Try using the assisted touch in accessibility. In there I know you can hold the lock screen option and home button for a screen shot. So it may work for putting the iPhone into DFU mode if needed to restore.

Fortunately it has no data on it, so i'll go ahead with it. It was on iOS 5.1.1 before I updated it. Old!

thank you for posting this question, up until right now I hadn't even thought about the Power Button, now though I am wondering if I dare JB mine since my button is also broken.
