I have my network extended using power link adapters to our garage, there I have a wifi hotspot going to an iPad mini acting as a HomeKit homehub, an Eve Room that measures temperature, humidity and air quality, and I also have an Eve Energy which has a heater plugged in to it.

My goal is to have the heater turn on when the room drops to a certain temperature and then turn the heater off when the room rises to a higher temperature. Should be fairly simple, all devices are visible in HomeKit, if I test the heater it switches on and off but when the temperature drops, nothing happens…. Are they not compatible? What could I be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
