Hey gang,

So I'm having trouble playing some videos on my brother's intel mac mini. When I try to play certain .mov files in quicktime (or front row), there is audio but no video! They work in VLC of course, but it'd be nice to get them going in front row!

Any idea what the issue could be? It has 3ivx, divx, and the new flip4mac beta installled...

Thanks

It could be using an old codec that only exists in OS 9 (yes, there are some codecs that Apple didn't include in OS X).

If they are old videos, thats probably your issue. If not, I'm not really sure...

Can't play .mov files on Mac

I have the same problem. QT was playing them but not anymore. Only sound, no pic.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
