Events in notification center?

I dont get events in my notification center

Yes, when I have an event on my calendar it shows up in the Today section of the Notification Center.

Actually now it doesnt work.. It worked last night .. and now my event for today isnt there..This is annoying!

One thing I notice there, is the calendar icon is different to the app icon, yet the icon shown against calls, messages, etc is the same as their respective app icons.

Mean anything?

Isn't it like that in iOS 6 and before as well? The small calendar icon is simply a generic calendar rather than a live version that knows the day and date.
