I was looking in Macintosh HD and saw some shared PC's and i remembered. The icon apple uses to represent a PC is the Blue Screen Of Death on a CRT monitor lol its very funny i think.

Actually i am running a linux server and Macosx sees it as a Pc shate, but it must be the Samba share I guess.

I would like to take this time to point out that we're not poking fun at fun173, but the fact that the original post is pretty well known by mac-heads.
:D

You guys act like because you are aware of something then everyone knows. I did not know about this and it was quite amusing. Just because it is old news to some of you on these forums doesn't mean that it isn't new to others.

Think outside of your own box.

Carry on. :D

LUL

But seriously, the mac-heads know this old gag, especially it's they've explored their CoreServices bundle.

I think it's a neat way to apply a generic icon to all non-apple's.

However, this doesn't always work. When my Power Mac G4 MDD is listed in my shared list, it appears as a 30" ACD... vwat t3h eff?

It's what is called an easter egg many video dvds and software have small bonuses worth a few seconds of entertainment. I think this one was Steve Jobs way of telling Bill Gates to go **** off subtlely.
