Ever since I updated my watch, I’m not getting text messages alerts

I upgraded my watch software over the weekend and since then, I haven’t been getting any alerts on my watch. Emails, texts, etc.

My messages app isn’t even updated correctly on my watch either. It shows old texts.

Nothing is being done on my watch, maps, emails, etc — all the settings are correct. I’m so confused on how to fix this.

Just to get the obvious out of the way, did you reboot your watch and phone?

After i updated mine, I wasn't getting notifications of any kind of watch, but after rebooting them both it all went back to normal.
